Project Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to work on a distributed platform built around Kotlin/Java microservices. The project focuses on developing and maintaining backend services, integrating with Microsoft Azure-based systems, and extending the frontend part of a label printing application.

The role involves working with a modern technology stack including Java 17, Quarkus, React 18, TypeScript, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Dapr, Azure Event Hubs, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server. A key part of the project is also supporting CI/CD processes, deployment automation, and maintaining code quality gates.

The project falls under Application Development, with the primary technology focus on React and a secondary focus on Java. An advanced proficiency level is expected for both technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend services in a Kotlin/Java microservices environment.
  • Build REST APIs and backend logic using Quarkus, Hibernate ORM/Panache, validation, and OpenAPI.
  • Implement integration logic for Azure-based systems.
  • Work with Azure DevOps, Azure SDK, Azure CLI, Bicep, and Azure Container Registry.
  • Support event-driven communication using Dapr and Azure Event Hubs.
  • Work with data persistence in MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Develop and maintain frontend features for the label printing application.
  • Work with the frontend stack including React 18, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and Material UI.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and quality gates using Azure Pipelines, Maven, Ktlint, Detekt, ESLint, and Prettier.w
  • Package and deploy services using Docker, Nginx, and Helm charts on Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate on the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native applications.

Must-have Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Java 17.
  • Hands-on experience with Quarkus.
  • Experience with the Maven build tool.
  • Advanced knowledge of React 18.
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and experience with Dapr.
  • Experience with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Ability to work in a distributed microservices environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Application Development.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience with Kotlin.
  • Knowledge of Vite, Tailwind CSS, and Material UI.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure CLI, Azure SDK, Bicep, and Azure Container Registry.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and Nginx.
  • Knowledge of Azure Event Hubs.
  • Experience with Hibernate ORM/Panache and Hibernate Validator.
  • Knowledge of gRPC, OpenAPI, Jackson, and MapStruct.
  • Experience with code quality tools such as Ktlint, Detekt, ESLint, and Prettier.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD processes in Azure Pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud-native and containerized deployments.
